J-Shed is Fremantle’s newest venue and arts precinct which launched in the Summer of 2016.
The venue plays host to an instillment of intimate beachside concerts; Sunset Sounds as well as other exciting new projects that compliment the surround arts precinct space. Sunset Sounds had a successful first season with concerts from Missy Higgins, Kate Miller-Heidke, San Cisco, Koi Child and SAFIA.
The J-Shed warehouse at the Arthur Head Reserve was built as a warehouse for Fremantle Harbour in the early 20th century before it moved to its present site in the 1950s. The glass fronted warehouse showcases uninterrupted views over the picturesque Bathers Beach precinct and we think it is a key step in the revitalisation of the space.
